Hurricane Relief
A Note From Fleeceworks
Fleeceworks Family,
We have watched what is happening in the five states that were affected by hurricane Helene. I cannot comprehend the amount of devastation, suffering, and loss the individuals and families have experienced. We have already sent personal donations to charities on the ground, but wanted to do more.
Because of this, we have chosen to donate a portion of all Fleeceworks sales for the entire month of October.
We have committed to donating 30% of the sales of any regularly priced items , and 15% of the sales of any of discounted items.
We have felt called to donate to smaller, local charities who are specifically helping the areas who have been completely cut off by the hurricane damage. There are some truly amazing people choosing to give their time, expertise, and energy to help reach these rural communities.
A few of the specific charities we have chosen to donate the proceeds of these sales to are:
- Operation Airdrop (a Texas based 501(c)(3) non-profit that organizes general aviation assets in the aftermath of a natural disaster.)
- Mountain Mule Packer Ranch (a business out of NC who has chosen to use their assets to contact and bring support and supplies to rural communities who are cut off and cannot be reached by vehicle)
- Guardians of Rescue (an animal-specific charity who also has boots on the ground bringing supplies and help to affected rural communities)
- The Foundation of the Horse (American Association of Equine Practitioners charitable arm, who has committed to working directly with equine veterinarians on the ground to make sure supplies, hay, feed and veterinary care are provided to animals in need.)
We encourage you to also make your own donations; and would love to hear of any other local charities who you feel would benefit from our support. We will be spending the month doing what we can to raise funds for the people doing this incredibly important work.
Thank you,
Judy & the Fleeceworks Team
